This is a poster design for a poetic dance show, "The Vast Land", also called "The Journey of a Legendary Landscape Painting". It was inspired by Ximeng Wang's “A Panorama of Rivers and Mountains”, a well-known Song Dynasty (960-1279) artwork (Wang, 1126).

The dance portrays the story of Palace Museum researchers who had dedicated their lives to researching the masterpiece, traveling back in time to see the moment when the genius painter was ready to complete the work. The audience will accompany the researchers as they explore the fabled traditional Chinese visual charm from the perspective of the scroll opener.
